FR Series: Pressure Fit

Firedoor's pressure fit frame is particularly suited for use in garden and high rise apartments, modular units, motels and office buildings. A uniquely designed frame for steel stud, wood stud, or precast concrete walls that is installed after the wall is erected.

• Installs in approximately one (1) minute
• A screwdriver is the only tool required
• Precision mitered corners with internal gussets lock jamb and head without the use of screws
• Pressure fit adjuster and interlocking members for self-aligning corners assure a perfect miter every time.
• Double return backbends allow the frame to slip snugly over the drywall without marring its surface.

Specification

Pressure fit frames manufactured by Firedoor are 16, 18, or 20 gauge cold rolled or zinc coated steel. Each frame is furnished with pressure fit adjusters, and is mortised and reinforced for hardware.

Standard Hardware Preparation:
For 1 3/4" thick doors mortised and reinforced for (3) 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" full mortise hinges and (1) 4 7/8" strike.

Frames are equipped with silencers. Frames are cleaned, phosphatized, and prime coated with high quality rust inhibitive primer.
